This is the larger version of one of my most popular spindles that I make (Tahkli Support Spindle No.654) and it is exceptionally well balanced and has plenty of weight and the right size alloy coin whorl to spin almost any fiber. This Tibetan style support spindle is made with a 1.5” diameter x .125” polished edge (circulated) US Eisenhower Dollar, two lovely silver plated Filigree Flower Pendants, Twelve Preciosa Czech or Swarovski high-quality/precision cut faceted Austrian Crystal Rhinestones for a whorl. The whorl, along with two clear crystal rhinestone bead spacers, one clear faceted glass bead, and multiple silver plated findings is combined with a signature John Galen powder-coat painted steel shaft with a heat forged hook. All parts are mounted with industrial 2-part epoxy.

Stunningly gorgeous with a long spin time. Completely mesmerizing when still, and even more so when in motion. These are always so much nicer in person, as pictures just don't do them justice. But don't let the beauty of these spindles fool you - these are top quality tools and were made to do a lot of spinning. And when you add in the stupendous packaging and super fast shipping, you simply can't go wrong with John Galen Designs and these spindles!
