This Support Bowl for Spinning with its welded/integrated stable base is 3" diameter, 1.2" high, weighs 9 ounces, and is the perfect shape and size for supported spinning. It is heavy and stable, and it's a bowl that will literally last a lifetime!
The bowl is made from 1/8" thick solid (US Made) steel that is press-formed into a hemispherical shape and started out as a crude weld-on pipe cap. I have lathe milled and rounded over the edges of the bowl and steel disc base, ground off all imperfections to a smooth finish, professionally and permanently welded the two pieces together, and specially prepared it to receive an industrial quality oven-baked powder-coat paint in my newest COSMIC STARLIGHT (Rainbow Metal Flake) Black color. It is professionally painted by Anderson Painting Co., of Tucson, AZ USA.
The base is finished off with a choice of either a heavy-duty NATURAL RUBBER NON-SLIP PAD, or a
SYNTHETIC FELT PAD attached to the bottom side of the steel base disc
IMPORTANT: Spinning Surface (Inside Bowl) WILL DULL/SCRATCH with use and develop its own unique patina over time. Bowl can be polished with non-abrasive auto paint polish.
