Made from a total of 42 individual pieces, this special design incorporates a delicate laser cut enameled copper Koi Pond pendant that is laminated to a 1/8" thick acrylic disc with a metallic silver (top) and metallic orange (bottom) foil film mounted on the bottom side and covered in a thick layer of epoxy resin, which makes up the whorl. The bottom side has a silver plated alloy floral filigree pendant mounted to the whorl - along with a 1/4" thick acrylic disc with 24 Topaz AB and Aquamarine Preciosa Czech crystal rhinestones mounted on the outer edge, a smaller silver plated filigree pendant, and silver plated bead cap and findings - all mounted to one of my signature powder-coat-painted high carbon/spring steel shafts with a heat forged hook (Shown in Metallic Silver). All components are assembled with 2-part epoxy adhesive
This is an amazing and versatile medium weight top or bottom whorl drop spindle that has a fast spin and plenty of rim weight (thanks to the bottom pendant) to keep it spinning and to handle a wide range of fine fibers.
